Experience: Richard Dotta founded Dotta Auction Company in 1974 and was soon joined by his brother, Jim. Both went to nationally recognized auctioneering schools where they learned their rapid fire auctioneering chant. Together, they have over 80 years of experience.

Expertise: Years of experience do not necessarily convert to years of expertise. We are proud to say we are nationally known for our expertise in Antiques, Coins, Dolls, Sports Memorabilia, and Firearms. Locally, we are well respected auctioneers of estates, real estate, and commercial property.

Ethics: Dotta Auction Company is a long standing member of the National Auctioneer Association (NAA). As such, we adhere to the NAA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice which assures exceptional treatment of all consignees. We are also a member of Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association and the Lehigh Valley Society of Auctioneers for which Richard Dotta served as a past president. In order to maintain our standing within these organizations, we regularly attend profession specific programs.

Easy: The internet has introduced multiple options for selling items. However, selling through web sites may require personal information you are not willing to provide potential buyers. Even worse, you may not be aware of the full value of your item, collection, or property. By partnering with Dotta Auction Company, we make it easy as 1-2-3 for you achieve maximum value with little effort. We accept consignments as simple as just a few items to consignments as complex as large estates requiring multiple days to inventory and sell. We evaluate each item and determine how best to market it. Notable items are bundled into our specialty auctions (e.g.; Antiques, Coins, Dolls, Sports Memorabilia, and Firearms). We also handle the packing, moving, photographing, and shipping. In short, we take the burden off your hands and put cash into them.

Exposure: We take personal pride in our ability to do the infamous auction chant in front of an audience of bidders but times have changed and online auctions are now preferred. We have partnered with two of the best known online auction systems; i.e., HiBid for our online auctions and LiveAuctioneers for our Doll auctions (which are held simultaneously with online and in-house bidders). In addition, we advertise in local newspapers; i.e., The Morning Call, The Key, and The Express Times and in Antiques & Auction News and Antiques & The Arts for our specialty auctions.
